Description
High tensile fasteners are bolts, studs and nuts made from heat-treated alloy steel. They carry much higher loads than standard mild steel bolts. As a result, they suit structural steel, machinery and flanged joints. We stock high tensile fasteners in all common sizes at our showroom in Nad Al Hamar, Dubai.
First, choose the grade: 8.8 for most machinery and steelwork, or 10.9 and 12.9 for very high loads. Next, choose the finish: black for indoor use, or zinc plated and hot-dip galvanised for outdoor use. Finally, always pair a bolt with a nut of matching grade. Also, use a torque wrench, so each bolt reaches the right tension.
