Description
Key bars are lengths of precision steel that you cut into keys. A key sits in matching slots in a shaft and a hub, such as a pulley or coupling. As a result, the shaft drives the hub without slipping. We stock key bars in common sizes at our showroom in Nad Al Hamar, Dubai.
First, measure the width and depth of the keyway, for example 8 x 7 mm. Next, choose the material: bright carbon steel for general use, or stainless steel for wet and corrosive areas. Finally, cut the key to length and remove sharp edges before you fit it. In addition, we can supply ready-cut keys if you send the size and length.
Why Choose Our Key Bars
- Accurate size: The bars have a close tolerance for a tight fit in the keyway.
- Square and rectangular: We keep both profiles in metric and imperial sizes.
- Easy to cut: You can cut keys to any length on site.
- Stainless option: In addition, stainless steel bars resist rust in pumps and marine use.
