First, choose A2 for general outdoor and indoor use. Next, choose A4 for seawater, swimming pools and chemical areas, because the molybdenum in 316 resists chlorides. Also, use a little anti-seize paste on large sizes to stop the threads from galling. As a result, the joint stays easy to open for years.
