Description
A GI plug seals the open end of a female threaded fitting, such as a tee, elbow or socket. It has a male thread and a square or hex head for a spanner. As a result, you can close a branch now and open it again later. We stock galvanised plugs at our showroom in Nad Al Hamar, Dubai, for same-day collection across the UAE.
First, match the plug size to the fitting, for example a 3/4″ plug for a 3/4″ tee. Next, wrap the thread with PTFE tape or use a thread sealant. Because the zinc coating resists rust, the plug also suits outdoor and wet areas.
